Governor Abbott Appoints Two To Board Of Pilot Commissioners For Galveston County Ports

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kenny Koncaba and reappointed Brad Boney to the Board of Pilot Commissioners for Galveston County Ports for terms to expire on February 1st, 2019.

Kenny Koncaba is currently CEO of Houston-based Texan Bank.  He was elected to three terms on the Friendswood ISD Board of Trustees and to two terms on the Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District Board. In addition, he has previously served on the Galveston County Beach and Parks Board and on the Texas Housing and Health Services Coordinating Board.  Koncaba is a graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Brad Boney is a small business owner, mediator and public relations/marketing consultant. He is an advisory committee member for the Gulf Coast Leadership Conference, a board member of Gulf Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters, and he is a member of Texas Association of Mediators, Galveston Propeller Club and the Galveston Island Property Owners Association. He previously served as publicity committee chair for the Central Houston Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association. Boney attended Bradley University and the University of Houston - A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center. 

These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
