Governor’s Mansion To Be Illuminated In Blue To Honor Law Enforcement
In honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD), the Governor's Mansion will be illuminated in blue on Saturday, January 9th. Today's acknowledgement continues Governor Abbott's strong expression of support for law enforcement across Texas.
"We can never give thanks enough to our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day to protect us," said Governor Abbott. "Lighting the mansion in blue is a small gesture in showing the State of Texas" appreciation for all that they do. I encourage all Texans to stand with law enforcement on this day and say "thank you" for their service to our great state.â€
