Governor Greg Abbott And First Lady Cecilia Abbott Receive Texas Heroes For Children Award
Governor Greg Abbott and First Lady Cecilia Abbott were awarded the 2015 Texas Heroes for Children Award by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children Texas Regional Office. First Lady Abbott was on hand to receive the award Thursday evening at the annual Texas Heroes for Children Gala.
“Greg and I are truly honored to receive the Texas Heroes for Children Award,” said First Lady Abbott. “I am so proud of the things Greg has accomplished to make Texas the national leader in the crusade to end child abuse and exploitation, and we are so grateful to have the Texas Regional Office of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as a partner in that crusade. Thank you for your commitment to protecting Texas children.”
