Governor Abbott Delivers Welcome Address At 2016 World Travel And Tourism Council Global Summit
Governor Greg Abbott today delivered the welcome address for the opening session of the 2016 World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit in Dallas, Texas. The WTTC is a forum for business leaders from the world’s foremost Travel and Tourism companies to help promote partnership between the public and private sectors, meet the needs of local economies and pursue long-term growth and prosperity. The 2016 Summit focuses on how the Travel and Tourism sector will respond to changing global dynamics in technology, science, culture and society.
“It’s fitting to host a global conference in Texas because of our rich blending of so many cultures,” said Governor Abbott. “People are moving to Texas more than any other state in the U.S. because Texas is the land of opportunity. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, if you work hard and dream big, you can succeed in Texas.”
