March 23, 2016 | Austin, Texas | Press Release

Governor Greg Abbott today addressed the Rotary Club of San Antonio to discuss the organization's contributions to education and workforce development in the State of Texas. The Rotary Club of San Antonio is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help promote goodwill and fellowship. The Rotary Club of San Antonio focuses on Bexar County youth through scholarships, mentoring, dropout prevention and hands-on service projects in the community.

"Through your generous support, whether it's building playgrounds as safe havens at underserved schools or funding scholarships to keep children on the path to higher education, you're helping so many young Texans reach for their dreams," said Governor Abbott. "Without dreams, there is no need to work. Without work, there is no need to dream. Success requires big aspirations to dream great things and the work ethic to achieve them. Thank you for helping others share in your success."
