Governor Abbott Announces Staff Changes
Governor Greg Abbott today announced several staff changes following the departure of senior members of the Governor’s staff.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to all my staff who were instrumental in making sure we had a successful first year in office,” said Governor Abbott. “With 2015 in the rearview mirror, I am confident we now have the best team in place to charge forward as we begin to prepare for the 2017 legislative session.”
Constance Allison was named Policy Director. Allison was previously Deputy Policy Director.
Ky Ash was named Budget Director. Ash was previously Deputy Budget Director.
Reed Clay was named Deputy Chief of Staff. Clay was previously Senior Advisor to the Governor.
Drew DeBerry was named Director of Budget and Policy. DeBerry was previously Policy Director.
Ben Taylor was named Outreach Director. Taylor was previously Deputy Outreach Director.
David Whitley will be named Appointments Director, effective March 14th. Whitley is currently the Deputy Appointments Director.
