Governor Abbott Reappoints Gordon As Rio Grande Compact Commissioner
Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Pat Gordon as the Rio Grande Compact Commissioner for a term set to expire on June 9, 2025. The commissioner is responsible for administering the provisions of the compact entered into by Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and the United States.
Pat Gordon of El Paso is president of Gordon Davis Johnson & Shane P.C. He is a partner and attorney whose practice focus is business, corporate, and tax law. In addition, he is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association. He currently serves on the board and is past chairman of the El Paso Children’s Hospital and is a member of the El Paso/Juarez Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Gordon received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas A&M University, a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University Rawls School of Business, and a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law.
