Governor Abbott Appoints Ward to State Commission on Judicial Conduct

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kathy Ward to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for a term set to expire on November 19, 2027. The commission regulates the conduct of the state judiciary, including the power to recommend for retirement, censure, suspension, or removal of a judge from office.

Kathy Ward of Plano is an education technology and education consultant. She is a former morning drive time radio talk show co-host and now co-hosts two podcasts and produces multiple shows on the JPK Broadcasting Network. She currently volunteers as an appointed member of the School Based Improvement Council for Plano Academy High School. She previously served as a Plano Independent School District Special Education Lead Teacher and was appointed and then elected as a Collin County Commissioner. Ward received a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of North Texas.
