WEB VIDEO: Reforming School Finance, Increasing Teacher Pay, And Providing Property Tax Relief
The Office of Governor Greg Abbott today released a web video highlighting the signing of landmark legislation to reform school finance, increase teacher pay, and provide property tax relief in Texas.
"With historic signing of HB 3, the state of Texas is prioritizing the needs of students and enacting meaningful reform that puts more money in classrooms and pays our teachers more while reducing recapture and cutting property taxes," said Governor Abbott. "This monumental law establishes a new precedent in the state of Texas by ensuring that the innovative and dynamic ideas developed in the 86th Legislative Session benefit Texas students for years to come."
