Governor Abbott Reappoints Moore Presiding Judge Of The Ninth Administrative Judicial Region

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Kelly Moore as presiding judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region for a term set to expire four years from the date of qualification.

Kelly Moore of Lubbock is presiding judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region.  He previously served as judge of the 121st Judicial District Court of Terry and Yoakum Counties. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Judicial Council, and he is a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is a co-chair of the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases Oversight Board and chair of the Capital Writs Committee Director Selection Committee. Additionally, he is past president of the Brownfield Rotary Club and past board member of Terry County United Way, Brownfield Meals on Wheels and Crossroads Samaritan Counseling Center. Moore received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University.
