Governor Abbott Appoints Three To State Board Of Veterinary Medical Examiners And Names Presiding Of

Governor Abbott has appointed Sandra “Lynn” Criner, D.V.M. and Jessica Quillivan, D.V.M. and reappointed Keith Pardue to the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners for terms to expire August 26, 2021. Additionally, he named Roland Lenarduzzi, D.V.M. as presiding officer. The mission of the Board is to establish and enforce policies to ensure the best possible quality of veterinary and equine dental provider services for the people of Texas.

Lynn Criner, D.V.M. of Needville is the owner of Texas Equine and Pet in Missouri City. She was previously a partner at Hoof and Paw Animal Hospital and served as a relief work veterinarian at various clinics and hospitals in the Houston area. She is certified in animal chiropractic from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and holds a category II accreditation from the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. She is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, Texas Equine Veterinary Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Criner received a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Texas Southern University, a Bachelor of Science in veterinary medicine and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.

Jessica Quillivan, D.V.M of Magnolia is the president and medical director of Shady Brook Animal Hospital. She also serves as a managing shareholder and medical director at Emergency Pet Care of Texas. She has previously served on the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Board of Directors and served on the AAHA Animal Ethics and Welfare Committee. Additionally, she has served as a board member for the Magnolia Community Foundation and the Magnolia Economic Development Partnership and is a member of the International Veterinary Association of Pain Management, Texas Association of Veterinary Practitioners and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Quillivan received a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.

Keith Pardue of Austin is an attorney and owner of the Law Office of Pardue and Associates PLLC. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is certified in administrative law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a member of the Southern Nazarene University Board of Trustees, South Texas District Church of the Nazarene Advisory Board and South Austin Church of the Nazarene Board. He is also past president and past board member of the Vineyard Bay Homeowners Association. Pardue received a Bachelor of Arts from Mid-America Nazarene University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston School Of Law.

Roland Lenarduzzi, D.V.M. of Alvin is a veterinarian and president of Manvel Animal Clinic, Inc. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, Society for Theriogenology and Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. He is a member and past president of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and TVMA - Texas A&M University (TAMU) College of Veterinary Medicine Liaison Committee. He is also a past member of the TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine Selections Committee. Lenarduzzi received a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
