Governor Abbott Appoints Robles And Buchholtz To Commission On State Emergency Communications

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Ernestine Robles of Garden Ridge and reappointed William “Bill” Buchholtz of San Antonio to the Commission on State Emergency Communications for terms set to expire September 1, 2021. The commission is charged with administering the state 9-1-1 service program and the statewide poison control program.

Ernestine Robles is a homemaker and volunteer member supporting Cygnets of San Antonio and the New Braunfels Christian Academy. She previously worked as an administrative assistant at First Bank of Texas in Killeen.

William “Bill” Buchholtz, Colonel, USAF (Ret.) is the CEO of Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network and chairman of the Texas 9-1-1 Alliance. Previously, he served as commander of the 26th Intelligence Wing and deputy chief of staff for Electronic Security at U.S. Air Force Headquarters in Europe at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Buchholtz received a Bachelor of General Studies in business from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Arts in business from the University of Central Michigan.
