Governor Abbott Appoints Collins And Jennings To Real Estate Research Advisory Committee

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Alvin Collins and Doug Jennings to the Real Estate Research Advisory Committee for terms set to expire January 31, 2021. The advisory committee reviews and approves proposals submitted to the board of directors of the Texas A&M University System relating to staffing and general policies of the Real Estate Center. The committee decides the priority ranking of research studies the center conducts.

Alvin Collins of Andrews and Midland is a broker associate at Legacy Real Estate Brokerage, director at Cendera Funding and Cendera Bank and president and owner of Sunray Energy, Inc., an oil and gas operating company. He is a member and former president of the Permian Basin Board of Realtors and past chairman of the Issues Mobilization Committee of the Texas Association of Realtors. Additionally, he is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and the Texas Mortgage Industry Advisory Committee. He is a federal political coordinator, member, National Hall of Fame Member and Presidents Circle member of the National Association of Realtors. Collins received a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and accounting from Texas Wesleyan University, attended Texas Christian University Graduate School, and holds a National Banking License and Private Pilot’s License.

Doug Jennings of Fort Worth is one of the principals at William C. Jennings Company. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors and the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation Board of Directors. He is past chairman of the Texas Association of Realtors Commercial Committee and a member and past president of the Society of Commercial Realtors. He is also a member of Christ Chapel Bible Church. Jennings received a Bachelor of Business Administration in real estate from The University of Texas at Austin.
