Governor Abbott Appoints Bell To 267th Judicial District Court
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Robert E. “Bobby” Bell of Edna as judge of the 267th Judicial District Court in Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Refugio and Victoria Counties for a term set to expire at the next general election in November 2016.
Robert E. “Bobby” Bell has served for over 30 years as the Criminal District Attorney for Jackson County. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas District & County Attorneys Association. He has been board certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1984. He is a former president of the Jackson County Bar Association and currently serves as a trustee for the First Baptist Church in Edna and on the board of the Velma & Harvey Lee Robinson Foundation. Bell received a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Lamar State College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston.
