Governor Abbott Reappoints Milian Matt To Gulf Coast Authority Board Of Directors

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Gloria Milian Matt to the Gulf Coast Authority Board of Directors for a term set to expire on August 31, 2021. The Gulf Coast Authority has the authority to provide water systems and control water pollution and waste disposal within the district. In addition, they shall conduct studies and research on the control of water pollution and waste disposal within the district.

Gloria Milian Matt of Tomball is an engineer who previously worked at Kuraray America Inc., E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company and United Space Alliance. Currently, she is taking a career break to focus on her children. She previously served as a member of the Du Pont La Parte Early Career Network, Du Pont Hispanic Network, and was a coach with Houston Youth Lacrosse. Milian Matt received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida.
