Governor Abbott Names Dunn As Chair Of The Texas Workforce Investment Council
Governor Abbott has named Mark Dunn chair of the Texas Workforce Investment Council. The council assists the Governor and the Legislature with strategic planning for and evaluation of the Texas workforce system to promote the development of a well-educated, highly skilled workforce for Texas.
Mark Dunn of Lufkin is the president of Dunn’s Construction LLC. He is an executive committee member of the East Texas Region I Water Planning Group, is currently serving a second term as president of EAA Chapter 1219, and just finished his third term as a board member of the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce. Dunn is a past assistant district governor of Rotary District 5910, and past president of the Rotary Club of Lufkin, and a former member of the Leadership Lufkin Alumni Board. Dunn received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Sam Houston State University.
