Governor Abbott Appoints Three To Texas Board Of Occupational Therapy Examiners

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Eddie Jessie and reappointed Jennifer Clark and Todd Novosad to the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners for terms set to expire February 1, 2025. The board licenses and regulates occupational therapy services in the state of Texas.

Eddie Jessie of Houston is a program forensic compliance monitor at the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD Services. He is a member of the Alpha Delta Mu Professional Sociology Organization and the National Institute of Sports Professionals. In addition, he serves as a constituent advisory committee member of the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University. Jessie received a Bachelor of Science in social work and a Master of Arts in sociology from Prairie View A&M University.

Jennifer Clark of Iola is an occupational therapist assistant at College Station Med Therapy Center. She is a member of the American Association of Occupational Therapy Assistants. She previously served as vice president of the Student Occupational Therapy Association and is a former member of the Iola Community Center Board. Clark received an Associate of Applied Science in occupational therapy assistant and a Bachelor of Science in business and health care administration from Capella University.

Todd Novosad of Austin is a healthcare compliance partner for Ensign Services. He is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association of America, American Occupational Therapy Association, and the Texas Occupational Therapy Association. Novosad received a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from The University of Texas Health Science Center.
