Governor Abbott Appoints Selleck Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney

 Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Tom Selleck as the Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney, effective October 1, 2020, for a term set to expire on December 31, 2022, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Tom Selleck of Angleton is an attorney and owner of The Law Office of Tom Selleck, P.C., and is a deputy sheriff for the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, The Federalist Society, and the Brazoria County Bar Association. Additionally, he is the chairman of the Angleton Area Emergency Medical Corps Board of Directors, board member of the Women’s Center of Brazoria County, and a life member of the Brazoria County Fair Association. Selleck received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law.
