Governor Abbott Appoints Pang To Midwestern State University Board Of Regents

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Karen Liu Pang to the Midwestern State University Board of Regents for a term set to expire on February 25, 2024.

Karen Liu Pang of Irving is president of the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce. Previously, she served over 12 years at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas in various director positions. She is a member of The University of Texas (UT) System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee and UT Moody College of Communication Advisory Council, executive committee member of the Friends of Fair Park Board of Directors, and a sustainer of the Junior League of Dallas. Additionally, she is a former conference chair and former council member of IGNITE Texas State Council and former president and inaugural class member of the Dallas Mayor’s Star Council. Pang received a Bachelor of Science in advertising from UT Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
