Governor Abbott Appoints Mizell To Texas Ethics Commission
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Pat Mizell to the Texas Ethics Commission for a term set to expire on November 19, 2021.
Pat Mizell of Houston is a commercial litigation partner at Vinson & Elkins, LLP. Previously, he served as judge of the 129th Judicial District Court in Harris County. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the International Society of Barristers, American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Judicial Compensation Commission. Additionally, he is a life fellow of the State Bar of Texas Foundation and the Houston Bar foundation and former chairman and former board member of the San Jose Clinic. Mizell received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
