Governor Abbott Appoints Milton to Governor’s Committee to Support the Military
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Fred Milton to the Governor’s Committee to Support the Military for a term to expire at the pleasure of the Governor. The committee studies and makes recommendations on how best to maintain and enhance military value at existing military installations in Texas and how best to make Texas a more attractive destination for additional military missions.
Fred Milton of New Boston is President and CEO of Milton Integrated Logistics, Inc. He is Chairman of the Board of Red River Federal Credit Union and Trustee and President of the Ringwood Cemetery Association. He is past Chairman of the Board of the Riverbend Water Resources District and a board member of the Texas Water Development Board Region D. Additionally, he is a past Chairman and lifetime Director of the Texarkana Area Chapter of the American Red Cross and a lifetime member of the Association of the United States Army. Milton received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Louisiana State University.
