Governor Abbott Appoints Lindley To Texas Commission On Environmental Quality

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Emily Lindley to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for a term set to expire on August 31, 2023. The commission protects the state's public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development.

Emily Lindley of Austin most recently served as chief of staff for the Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 Administrator. She also has over 10 years of experience at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, where she served as the special assistant to the Deputy Executive Director. She is a member of the Austin Women’s Symphony League and the Baylor Women’s League of Austin. Additionally, she is a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels and former membership chair and former treasurer of Young Texans Against Cancer. Lindley received a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Baylor University and completed the Governor’s Executive Development Program at The University of Texas at Austin L.B.J. School of Public Affairs in 2016.
