Governor Abbott Appoints Interiano To Jobs And Education For Texans Grant Program Advisory Board

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Gerardo Interiano to the Jobs and Education for Texans Grant Program Advisory Board for a term set to expire on June 19, 2019. The board provides assistance to the Texas Workforce Commission in awarding grant funds associated with the development of new career and technical education programs at public junior colleges, public technical institutes, and independent school districts.

Gerardo Interiano of Austin is head of local market staffing for Google. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States and an alumni of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program. Additionally, he is a member of the Austin Community Foundation Board of Governors, Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and The University of Texas School of Law Alumni Association Executive Committee, and a former board of directors member of the Texas Association of Business, Austin Education Foundation, and the Hill Country Conservancy. Interiano received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
