Governor Abbott Appoints Hill To Texas County And District Retirement System Board Of Trustees
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Christopher T. “Chris” Hill to the Texas County and District Retirement System Board of Trustees for a term that will expire on December 31, 2021. The board oversees a retirement system for employees and retirees of more than 780 counties and districts, including hospital water districts, water districts, emergency services districts and others.
Christopher T. “Chris” Hill of McKinney is the County Judge of Collin County. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He currently serves on the board of directors for Minuteman Disaster Response, and has previously served on the board of The Samaritan Inn and Hope Women’s Center. Governor Abbott previously appointed Hill to serve on the Governing Board of the Indigent Defense Commission. Hill received a Bachelor of Science in political science from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Master of Science in accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and a Master of Pastoral Leadership from Columbia Biblical Seminary.
