Governor Abbott Appoints Gaines To Texas Commission On The Arts
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Charles Gaines to the Texas Commission on the Arts for term set to expire on August 31, 2023. The commission fosters the development of a receptive climate for the arts that will culturally enrich and benefit state citizens in their daily lives and attract outstanding artist to become state residents.
Charles Gaines of Round Rock is an advancement officer for Abilene Christian University. He is a board member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center. Additionally, he is a member of the Round Rock Ascend Leadership Program and an alumnus of the American Israel Education Foundation initiative to Israel. Gaines received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Abilene Christian University.
