Governor Abbott Appoints Cagle To Task Force On Disaster Issues Affecting Persons Who Are Elderly And Persons With Disabilities

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed R. Jack Cagle to the Task Force on Disaster Issues Affecting Persons Who Are Elderly and Persons Who Are Disabled for a term set to expire on February 1, 2025. The Task Force on Disaster Issues Affecting Persons Who Are Elderly and Persons Who Are Disabled will study methods to more effectively accommodate persons who are elderly and persons with disabilities before, during, and after a disaster or emergency evacuation. 

R. Jack Cagle of Spring has served as County Commissioner for Harris County Precinct 4 since 2011. Prior to his role as County Commissioner, Cagle served 11 years as Judge of Harris County Civil Court-at Law No. 1. As a member of the Commissioners Court, he has served as a representative on the board of the Houston-Galveston Area Council and on the Board of Directors of the statewide Public Power Pool. Commissioner Cagle received a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School.
