Governor Abbott Appoints Breading To The 462nd Judicial District Court

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Lee Ann Breading as Judge of the462nd Judicial District Court in Denton County, effective January 1, 2019, for a term set to expire December 31, 2020, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Lee Ann Breading of Denton is an attorney in private practice. Previously, she served as the first assistant criminal district attorney in the Denton County Criminal District Attorney Office. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is a member, former president, and former board member of the Denton County Bar Association and a former member of the Texas District & County Attorneys Association. Additionally, she is former president of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. Breading received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
