Now more than ever, community matters. As Texans come together in response to COVID-19, we must look out for the most vulnerable among us.
On April 26, 2020, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is partnering with the organization Blue Sunday Day Of Prayer in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month. I invite communities of faith across the state of Texas to join me and millions of others for a time of prayer or reflection for victims of child abuse and those that rescue them.

There is nothing more powerful than Texans helping Texans. By looking out for others, we all have the power to build resilient communities and keep children safe – even during these challenging times. While we may not be together in person, I believe we can all still come together by standing united against Child Abuse.
