Texanthropy Spotlight: Partnerships for Children’s Holiday Wishes Program

November 17, 2016

There are many families in the Central Texas area who are graciously serving as foster parents, but many of these kiddos came to their foster homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, and the holidays can be particularly challenging for these families. That’s where a wonderful organization here in Central Texas – Partnerships for Children – and their “Holiday Wishes” program, comes in.

There are over 6,500 children in foster care in the Central Texas area and through this program, each child gives their top three wishes and the community fills these needs.  The program is in its tenth year, and in 2014 it provided Christmas gifts to over 4,500 children in Central Texas.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child’s holiday wishes, here’s how you can help:

  • Sponsor a child by purchasing items from their wish list.
  • Donate general gifts for children that are not matched with community donors.
  • Make a donation and we will shop for you.
