Texanthropy Spotlight: North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day is a one-day giving spree aimed at raising as much money as possible in one day for charities in 16 North Texas counties. And it is tomorrow – September 22, 2016 – from 6 a.m. until midnight.
This wonderful event was started in North Texas in 2009 and was one of the first – and is the largest – Giving Days in the nation. During its seven years of existence, North Texas Giving Day has raised $119 million for North Texas nonprofits. In 2015 alone, $33 million was donated to more than 2,000 nonprofits in North Texas – a record-breaking amount! And this year North Texas Giving Day hopes to break its own record.
If you feel called to serve your fellow Texans by participating in North Texas Giving Day, I would encourage you to visit https://northtexasgivingday.org/ to learn more about how you can get involved! You can also follow North Texas Giving Day on Facebook and Twitter. And be sure to use the hashtag #NTXGivingDay if you participate!
