Governor Abbott Sets Date For HD-139 Special Election
Governor Greg Abbott today issued a proclamation announcing May 7, 2016 as the special election date to fill the House District 139 seat recently vacated by Representative Sylvester Turner.
The early voting period for the special election will be held from April 25, 2016 to May 3, 2016.
