Governor Abbott Statement On Senate Passage Of Senate Bill 2
Governor Greg Abbott today released the following statement after the Senate passed Senate Bill 2 to reform property taxes:
“Today the Texas Senate took action to deliver on the promise of reining in skyrocketing property taxes. Thanks to the leadership of Lt. Governor Patrick and Senator Bettencourt, meaningful property tax reform is one step closer to becoming a reality. I look forward to continuing to work with Speaker Bonnen, Chairman Burrows and the entire legislature to provide lasting property tax relief for all Texans.”
