Governor Abbott Names Alvis Chair Of Texas Facilities Commission
Governor Greg Abbott has named Steven D. Alvis chair of the Texas Facilities Commission. The commission controls state buildings, grounds, or property and responsibility for maintenance, repair and construction of state buildings for the state.
Steven D. Alvis of Houston is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NewQuest Properties. He is a member of the Young President’s Organization, the Chief Executives Organization, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Alvis received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
