Governor Abbott Meets With State Legislators On Harvey Response
Governor Greg Abbott and Commission to Rebuild Texas Commissioner John Sharp today joined Texas state legislators at the Federal Emergency Management Agency Joint Field Office in Austin, Texas to receive a briefing and an update on the ongoing Hurricane Harvey response efforts across the state. During the meeting, the Governor also thanked lawmakers for their commitment to their communities and those affected by the storm.
"I want to assure all Texans still recovering from this disaster that their state government will be here to offer assistance every step of the way," said Governor Abbott. "I thank the dedicated state legislators for their commitment to work with Commissioner John Sharp and our Commission to Rebuild Texas. We will continue to work around the clock to make sure affected communities are getting everything they need as the recovery process continues."
