Governor Abbott Appoints Womack To Second Court Of Appeals

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Dana Womack to the Second Court of Appeals for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Dana Womack of Fort Worth is a senior district judge and previously served as judge of the 348th Judicial District Court for 20 years. She is board certified in Civil Appellate Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is member of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Bar Association, and The Federalist Society and a former member of the Texas District & County Attorneys Association. Additionally, she is a former board member of the Humane Society of North Texas, Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, and Schola Cantorum of Texas. Womack received a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law.
