Tax Free Weekend
Beginning tomorrow – Friday, August 11th and continuing through Sunday, August 13th – it’s Tax Free Weekend in Texas! This means that many items sold all across the state that are worth less than $100 will be exempt from state and local taxes. Lots of these items include back-to-school necessities like clothes, backpacks, and school supplies, but there are many other items that qualify too. The savings are not limited to in-store purchases either – they include items sold online, by telephone, mail or even lay-away. It’s the perfect time to stock up on supplies for the coming school year, as well as save close to $8 for every $100 spent!
