Generation SERVE’s 2nd Annual Austin Families Give Back Event
Saturday, November 17th is Family Volunteer Day, a nationwide day of service for families who volunteer together to support their communities. Family Volunteer Day is held annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season with a day of giving and service.
Austin-area families have a wonderful way of participating in Family Volunteer day through Generation SERVE’s 2nd annual Austin Families Give Back event, a free, city-wide day of service to introduce children and families to volunteerism! Click here to learn more and register for the event.
I especially love it when I see young Texans getting involved in giving back at an early age, and I had the pleasure of attending last year’s Austin Families Give Back. I loved seeing hundreds of caregivers and children working on service projects to support local organizations in a variety of categories.
Austin Families Give Back is free and open to the public, and families with children of all ages are welcome to attend! If you and your family are interested in participating, you can find more information here: https://www.generationserve.org/familyvolunteerday.html
