The Office of the Governor is looking for an Administrative Assistant (Administrative Assistant IV) to work in the Scheduling and Advance Division.

The salary is $4,166.67 - $4,416.67 a month ($50,000.04 - $53,000.04 a year).

What You’ll Do

This is a job that performs highly complex (journey-level) administrative office support related activities. Work involves confidential and sensitive correspondence and communications. Performs administrative, office and/or clerical support work, including answering incoming calls for the division.

  • Provides assistance to the public and answers questions regarding agency services and functions.
  • Performs administrative, office and/or clerical support duties as assigned within the Scheduling and Advance Division.
  • Performs general office duties such as handling correspondence for invitations, answering the phones, and following up with other divisions on requests.
  • Accepts, logs and efficiently routes mail.
  • Performs timely and accurate data entry into the office database.
  • Explains and disseminates information concerning agency programs and procedures.

How You’ll Qualify                                         

Four (4) years of experience as a receptionist with responsibility for responding to multiple phone lines, switchboard duties or as an administrative assistant tasked with providing technical or program support, including office, clerical and customer service.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.

Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
