Quality Assurance Tester – Austin, Texas
The Office of the Governor is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester (Programmer III) to work in the Information Services Division.

What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs complex computer programming testing and quality assurance work. The focus of this position involves carrying out and/or coordinating programming projects, analyzing proposed applications, and designing software solutions. You will be called on to code, test, debug, and prepare test data for internal/external systems, applications, solutions, program, and portals.
What You’ll Earn
The salary is $6,000.00 - $6,875.00 a month ($72,000.00 - $82,500.00 a year).

What You Need to Get Hired
- Three (3) years of professional experience in testing and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems design.
- Ability to design testing and quality assurance capabilities.
- Ability to analyze systems and procedures and to explain abstract concepts in concrete terms.
- Experience in writing test plans, test cases, and testing data.
Other Things We’ll be Looking For
- Experience in performing research and the analysis required for project proposals, software and systems modifications, and new projects.
- Skill in communicating technical material to others.
