Business Operations Assistant – Austin, Texas
The Office of the Governor is looking for a Business Operations Assistant (Program Specialist II) to work in the Public Safety Office – Grants Administration.

What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs professional and technical program assistance work. Work involves planning, coordinating, and performing support duties, including oral and written communication; scheduling; and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.
What You’ll Earn
The salary is $4,166.67 - $4,333.34 a month ($50,000.04 - $52,000.08 a year).

What You Need to Get Hired
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in program management, grants, or in an administrative assistance, support, and coordination role. (Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis).
- Experience with editing publications such as brochures, forms, manuals, and reports.
- Experience in database maintenance and developing and maintaining an electronic file system.
- Experience in developing, editing, and reviewing training materials.
- Proven ability to generate routine technical and periodic reports.
- Proven ability to develop, evaluate, and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
Other Things We’ll be Looking For
- Experience performing general office duties such as answering phones, routing incoming calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, and mail distribution.
- Experience working with and processing travel and purchasing documents.
- Experience in records management.
