Financial Business Analyst – Austin, Texas

The Office of the Governor is looking for a Financial Business Analyst (Information Technology Business Analyst III) to work in the Financial Services Division (FSD).

The salary is $6,250.00 - $6,750.00 a month ($75,000.00 - $81,000.00 a year).

What You’ll Do

This is a job that performs advanced business analysis of financial and regulatory work. Work involves compiling, reviewing, and analyzing financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending appropriate action to resolve financial and regulatory problems.

  • Assists in administering FSD processes and systems developed to oversee state, federal, and standard financial and accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Assists with improving the quality of information technology solutions to meet the needs of the division.
  • Coordinates and/or analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing financial processes.

How You’ll Qualify                                         

  • Four (4) years of professional experience in governmental budgeting, accounting, and financial operations; and
  • Experience using State of Texas Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and Centralized Accounting Payroll/Personnel system (CAPPS) Financials.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
