WEB VIDEO: Texas Wins Governor’s Cup For Record-Breaking Eighth Year In A Row
The Office of Governor Greg Abbott today released a web video highlighting Texas’ record-breaking eighth win in a row of Site Selection Magazine's Governor's Cup. The Governor joined economic development leaders from across the state on Monday at the Governor's Mansion to accept the award.
This is the 16th overall win for the state of Texas — more than any other state. The award highlights top-performing states for job creation and capital investment.
"The Governor's Cup truly belongs to the people of Texas, and it is a direct result of the businesses who invest in our unrivaled workforce and our economic development teams who work to expand opportunity throughout our state," said Governor Abbott. "Texas remains an economic dynasty thanks to our record-low unemployment, rising wages, and skilled workforce. By building upon our achievements, we will continue to create an even bigger, brighter tomorrow all across the Lone Star State."
