Grant Program - Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant (DEAAG)

The Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant Program (DEAAG) is an infrastructure grant program designed to assist defense communities that have been positively or negatively impacted by a change or announced change by the Department of Defense. DEAAG funding is available to local municipalities, counties, defense base development authority, junior college districts and Texas State Technical College campuses, and regional planning commissions representing these communities. DEAAG funding is available to meet matching requirements for federal funding. Grants awarded may range from $50,000 to $5 million per project.

The application will be available on the TMPC website Monday, September 2, 2024. Applications are due on or before Friday, October 11, 2024. Grants will be awarded in January 2025. Applications received after the deadline will be ineligible for consideration. If you have difficulty submitting the application, please contact TMPC before the deadline.

Please note that all submitted applications must be 50 pages or less. Additional pages will be deleted. DEAAG scoring will be based on the following criteria: military value, project completion, dual military/community benefit, National Defense Strategy, new missions, resiliency, cost efficiency, significance of impact, and funding contributions.
