Governor Abbott Appoints Moore To State Preservation Board

Governor Greg Abbott today appointed Iris Moore of Fort Worth to the State Preservation Board for a term to expire on February 1, 2017.

Iris Moore is a resident of Fort Worth, where she and her husband have lived for the past twenty seven years.  She is active as a community volunteer where she has served in numerous capacities including as a past Board Member of Cook Children’s Hospital and as Co-Chairman of the Ft Worth Zoo’s annual Zoo Ball fundraiser.  She has also served on the Advisory Council of the University Of Texas School Of Communications where she graduated in 1982.

This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
