Governor Abbott Appoints Peña-Garza To Family Practice Residency Advisory Committee
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Adrienne Peña-Garza to the Family Practice Residency Advisory Committee for a term set to expire on August 29, 2020. The committee reviews, for the Higher Education Coordinating Board, applications for approval and funding of family practice residency training programs and related support programs.
Adrienne Peña-Garza of Pharr is owner of Peña-Garza Consulting. She is on the board of directors for Magic Valley Coop, and previously was a board member of the Pharr Economic Development Board of Directors, Big Brother Big Sister of the RGV, Boys and Girls Club of Pharr, and the Rio Grande Valley Literacy. Her other volunteer activities include Founder of Spread Love Foundation and the Salvation Army and Rotary International. Peña-Garza received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas – Pan American.
