Governor Abbott Appoints Morris To The Upper Neches River Municipal Water Authority Board Of Directors
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Paul Morris to the Upper Neches River Municipal Water Authority Board of Directors for a term set to expire on February 1, 2025. The board has the responsibility to develop and conserve water resources in the Upper Neches River basin and tributaries located in Anderson, Cherokee, Smith, and Henderson Counties.
Paul Morris of Palestine is retired as senior vice president of New York Life Insurance. He serves as president of the board of Elkhart Lake-Pine Lodge Club, and previously was a member of the Palestine Economic Development Commission. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1971, at which point he received an honorable discharge. Morris received a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
