Governor Abbott Appoints Bryant And Racz To Texas Judicial Council
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kevin Bryant and Rachel Racz to the Texas Judicial Council for terms set to expire on June 30, 2023. The council studies the court system in Texas and looks for methods to improve while also investigating and reporting on matters referred to the council relating to the court system.
Kevin Bryant of Dallas is the general counsel for Crow Holdings. He is a board member and executive committee member of the Real Estate Council, member of the Tax Policy Committee for the Real Estate Roundtable, and a member of the Texas Bar Association. He volunteers as chair of the Dallas Breakfast Group, board member of Uplift Education, and an advisory board member of the S.M. Wright Foundation. Bryant received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University, where he graduated with honors.
Rachel Racz of Houston is an investor and entrepreneur. Before starting her own company, she was most recently head of strategy at Vista Proppants and Logistics. Previously, she was head of the Energy Business for the Nasdaq Stock Market. She is the founder of the 100 Women in Houston, an advisory board member of With Honor, and a committee member of a local Big Brothers and Big Sisters chapter. Her volunteer activities include the Navy Seal Foundation and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Racz received a Bachelor of Science in political science at the University of Houston.
These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
