Governor Greg Abbott today signed House Bill 540 into law at the Texas State Capitol in Austin. House Bill 540, authored by Representative Jeff Leach, designates a portion of North Central Expressway (U.S. Highway 75) as the Officer David Sherrard Memorial Highway in honor of the late Richardson Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2018.
