WEB VIDEO: Governor Abbott Elevates Higher Education In Texas

The Office of the Governor today released a web video following Governor Greg Abbott signing his emergency higher education initiatives into law yesterday. Governor Abbott’s plan aims to elevate Texas’ higher education system by investing $500 million for University research, and by recruiting nationally-recognized researchers and Nobel Laureates to Texas universities through the Governor’s University Research Initiative.

“Today is a day of celebration as we launch this new initiative ensuring that Texas will attract even more of the greatest, proven minds in the country,” Governor Abbott said. “I’m proud to be able to sign this piece of legislation. It’s a great day for higher education in the State of Texas.”
