Governor Abbott Hosts Mexican Secretary Of Foreign Affairs José Antonio Meade Kuribreña

Governor Greg Abbott today hosted José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and a small delegation of Mexican dignitaries at the Texas Governor’s Mansion to discuss trade, infrastructure and bilateral relations between the State of Texas and Mexico.

“It was an honor to host Secretary Meade and the Mexican delegation today to discuss border relations and the importance of strengthening the historical, cultural and economic bond that has defined our state’s relationship with Mexico for so many years,” said Governor Abbott. “The Texas-Mexico relationship is the most valuable and unique among the border states, and I look forward to engaging with Mexican officials in the future to deepen our longstanding partnership, improve bilateral relations and ultimately yield a more productive and positive relationship with Mexico.”
